<<Why then does the media harp on and take pride in reporting such bad news without stressing the point of LAG? They seem to have some vested interest in pumping extremes both bad and good. >>
Destruction has always far more 'sensationalism associated with it than construction', media thrives on these issues and will continue to do so, if one wants to live peacefully one needs to see through, that is the key.
I am known as bullish person, but if you go through my posts you may find these levels like 1250 and 1228 or 2100 as early as Nov ( although I did not exit from the market), the point is to know that it is media and experts hype that makes and breaks the market. Technically market has done what it has to do with total disregards of the fundamental, is the economy going to recession. I don't think so looking at NOK and IBM, we don't see 35% growth rates indicate a period of pre-recessions..
Market has built in a lot more and market may sell a lot more but the fact remains these stocks are great to own and media is only an agent that makes their own living with these kind of hype marche soldes.. if you talk sense than it is considered bullish that is what I have deducted. For me market levels is one thing, knowing the fundamental trends another, we need to make a complete picture and that is how we small people can survive..
How many of these media people by 18th nov had sugggested that US Presidency issue will be resolved by US SC, they all knew it but they kept 'bringing end of the world' mayt be 'break the federation' or new polaristation kind of divisiveness they did rivet people to the screen. If you look at things without colored glasses things may look better, look at these media guys they will never have a straight case, on one hand they will call the economy grinding to halt on other ther hand the oil prices heading to 30 or 40 or 50 will be flashed, now both these events are not possible for US being the largest consumer of energy will kill the demand of oil if its economy has negative growth rate.
That will help reduce the commodity inflation, but this simple point is ignored.. so you can make your own judgment, what is like to be a finacial journalist.. best regards.. |
