Has anyone seen Wired's June issue? On the cover is Apple's logo with barbed wire running around it. Below it is the word "Pray". When you read the article it explains that Wired wants Apple to survive and then proceeds to list 101 ways to save Apple. Some of which, in my humble opinion, are very good. In an encouraging note, the 101st piece of advice by Wired is that Apple will survive (that Netscape should worry instead) and not to worry too much. I too share the optimism that Apple will survive. Not a matter of if, but rather when Apple will turnaround and be sustainably profitable. Does anyone have reliable estimates or just a general feeling on the 3rd quarter's numbers? It seems pretty obvious that the revenues for the 3rd quarter will be significantly higher than the 2nd. $2 billion doesn't seem unfeasible if you average the 1st quarter's results with the 2nd you get about $1.9 billion, plus Apple shipped some really cool products in the third quarter and the PowerBooks finally were able to satiate demand. The picture for the fourth quarter is also comparatively bright when you take into account that Mac OS 8 and the 20th Anniversay Macintosh will ship, both of which provide hefty contribution margins. Additionally, the products which Apple announced long ago should all be available during the 4 quarter.

What does everyone think?
