Where do you see this? System 8 is a big improvement over 7.x and it looks like it'll be well received, by the reviews of the WWDC.

Well, OpenStep (or whatever the Next OS is called this week) has been around for 12 years, and from this week's MacWeek, it seems that a lot of them are ready to port their apps to the new OS...which will apparently be a fairly straightforward job since Apple will retain the NeXT application builder.

Metrowerks has an excellent compiler/IDE technology AND they're pretty swift on their feet; certainly not anywhere as clueless as Apple can and has been in the past.
