Michael,

that was my exact reaction and was so surprised to see AWE actually trading up on that news.

Isn't T/AWE the biggest customer of NOK in the US?

So when VZ, PCS and AT launch 1x the second half of this year, what is AWE, VSTR, Cingular etc., going to answer the challenge with? 5 new colors?

I am most puzzled by cingular's approach. The CEO was on CNBC yesterday. He said their approach is about "expressing yourself"? What exactly is that in wireless telecom terms?

Vaporware is finally facing its day of reckoning. Here are some of the other GPRS projects in progress:

Spring Evolium - Alacatel and Fujitsu project which claims to have Edge and GPRS ready 2nd calendar qtr.

MOT/CSCO - China Mobile awarded GPRS contract in Dec 2000 for GPRS in 4 cities, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Tianjin and Beijing. Estimating 110K subs to be ready second half of this year.

Are these projects are to be pushed out too?

Ramsey
