Much of that expense has to do with the required testing. A clinical trial must be run by someone with an MD and they require large numbers of people being tested, often over several years. And there are the insurance concerns and paperwork and...

Well, you get the idea. And, of course, many of the doctors don't have a clue how to actually do research, so they throw out data, curve the figures and even make it up. With tests like this, are they really needed?

Just my opinion, of course.
