Correct as to your call on not being specific to a certain stock. I am constantly trying to analyze myself and my trades because of certain expensive mistakes I made and wish not to repeat again. One of those I was most guilty of was having a preconceived notion of how a stock would act ( or react ) and got punished many times because I bucked the trend or was too late. One of the truest analagys is comparing the stock market to the ocean, if you're prepared with stops and a mental attitude it is equal to having a boat ready for rough weather and go with the tide; but if you're not ready or try to fight the tide it will overwhelm you.
