My position is that these specific items that you have mentioned as well as many others are not functions for which the government should have any participation in the first place. The person who is morally against abortion should never have been put in the position where they have no choice but to support abortion through the forced mechanism of taxes.

Same with your other examples.

My argument isn't really about waiting for someone to have a moral objection before suspending it, it is about never having it become an issue in the first place.
