Hi Michael,

I've stripped those references from other code without problems. It seems auto maxBarsBack takes care of things nicely. I may be mistaken.

Often it seems those references are there simply to check if a bar exists before doing any work. Again I'm not an expert on that but prefer dispensing with those checks as long as it doesn't result in division by zero.

I've already started mentally rewriting ADX and it's subsets while reading LG's note but have too many other interests currently to just jump in although I'm about ready to and like that idea better than trying to simplify TS's ADX function. Just a personal preference today, sometimes I dig into the function rather than starting with the concept and writing code.

Thanks for the note, I appreciate your Easy Language skills, not many people use it around here so you will undoubtably be helpful when I screw something up -- as I likely will when I dispense with lots of these EL conventions.

Best Regards,
Mechanical Method
