Hi Zeev,

How are you doing? Your discussion on fiscal and monetary policies does not address the debt that has been accumulated at institutions including the government and consumer. The government debt is not decreasing, but its growth has slowed. The consumers are now borrowing new debt to pay off old debt and corporations are deep in debt from buying their own stocks or stocks in other companies instead of investing in the future of their companies. There has to be period of paying down this debt to make the macro economics of the system healthy again, and this could take a long time unless we decide to forgive all the debt load on the back of the taxpayer. Japan has been trying to get rid of their problem for 10 or so years and still has not been successful. I believe Washington will go down the same path that Japan did until we boot them out of office and get a crew that will be serious about accepting some pain and suffering to correct the excesses.
