Wonder if I should talk about low-carb recipes on this thread or on the Atkins thread? I have been wanting to try homemade low carb ice cream but I hate the taste of aspartame so bought some stevia powder today, and then this evening read about sucralose - never tried either of them yet. I think I will look for the liquid sucralose - which is 600 times sweeter than sugar - Splenda is mixed with a filler to make it equivalent to sugar, teaspoon for teaspoon - I don't like the idea of that much filler.

One thing that I am looking for is a carbo counter book that distinguishes between sugars, starch and fiber. When you buy prepared food the FDA requires that the label give you total carbs, also sugars and fiber, so you can do the math and figure out the starch. But all the carbo counters I saw in the bookstore just give total carbs.

If anyone has a web site with that info, I could print it out and carry it around.
