The way I see it, it's damned if he did, damned if he didn't. I think Bush has done a fine job reaching out to Democrats, though I don't expect him to meet every single wish of the liberal left.

I see very little reaching out at all. In fact, just the opposite....most of his appointees seem not to be even his contemporaries but rather cabinent members of past Republican presidents including his father. In fact, I think he is the President in name only.

Democrats are not the liberal left...at least not in WA. To Republicans, they may appear left but that's only because everything is left of Republicans with maybe the exception of Nazis/Neo-Nazis/Spanish Republicans.
