Viador is having some real problems. They seem to be very weak in management, both at the CEO level and at the CFO level. They preannounced a horrible quarter, and this was at the very low end of the range. Also they were supposed to have a new release out supporting XML before the end of Q3, and it has never been released. This may also be a part of the weakness. Considering their recent mass layoff, I wonder when if ever the new release will come out?

The one new release they did have in Q4 was a scaled down version, called portal express, which offers and out-of-the-box portal for $50,000 or so. They have also revised their slogan from "the number 1 portal company" to "a leading self-service portal company". I think that says it all.
