Addi, I keep hoping some of MSPG's bottom line management skills were retained in the merger. After all, McQuary's still the operating guy. Of course, he may have no control over whether marketing dollars are being thrown away.
Perhaps, rather than trying to be the super hip ISP with all this brand building stuff, they should just focus on subscriber acquisition in the most immediate, reasonably economical manner. That may very well be by taking the MSN route and offering subsidies on new computers. Or, more likely, it may be more gobbling up of smaller fish, as long as they can get good prices and retain the subs. It seems clear, though, that Jerry Garcia isn't bringing 'em in. Time to lay off the advertising team!
What would EBITDA have been this Q is they had just skipped the image advertising?
BTW, the technicals are looking good, at least according to this site: quotes.barchart.com The score they give actually improved after today's trading (click on "snapshot"). I thought today was a bit of a downer. I hope (there's that word again) they are right.
