Ramsey - Your response leads me to ask how many announced GPRS (w/ or w/o EDGE) handset manufacturers are there? If any are close to success, wouldn't they be announcing it similar to QCOM and 1X?

RE: Spring Evolium - Alacatel and Fujitsu project which claims to have Edge and GPRS ready 2nd calendar qtr.

Deadline is just around the corner, so we do not have long to wait.

RE: MOT/CSCO - China Mobile awarded GPRS contract in Dec 2000 for GPRS in 4 cities .... I would assume MOT would be making these phones, or are they just doing infrastructure? This would be a good question for MOT IR.

Lucent was working on EDGE, but do not know anything about GPRS. With all their troubles, who knows what is happening there.

Is Siemens involved in GPRS?

Any of the Asian companies besides Fujitsu?

Lot's of research possibilities here for some diligent investigators <ggg>.
