I thought the whole point of the rapid reduction in interest rates was to prop of the stock market so that consumers would feel confident and keep spending.

UnB, please explain to me how consumers can keep spending when they are already overextended more than they should be on credit, oil and NG are eating a hole in their pockets, and the big extravagant spenders have lost their ass on the Naz already?
