TA is not about systems code, Software that gives automated buy/sell signals is not about understanding the interpretation of a chart. So therefore it is not TA. I would point TA beginners away from this thread.

I agree with only one statement in here.
it's about the art of interpreting charts.

With Respect..., Everything else in this statement has not been thought-out very well.

It's true black box mechanical systems have proven to be less then stelar performers, and beginners should be warned about wasting their money and believing their song and dance, without first understanding Technical reading of charts.

But software programs using code..., can and do make excellent trading platforms.
