rolatzi,
Thanks for posting Joe's column, I've always been a fan of his. I don't know how well my Hex signs match up to Joe's teleconnections, but I think he is a great forecaster and one of the few I follow.

I roughly agree on February, the indications of a cold Feb I gave here a few weeks ago are on course and like Joe B with his teleconnections, I only await the NAO to get negative to clinch my Hex sign prognostication. We part company in March, where I am expecting an early spring to set in for my environs while he looks for the cold to hang on further into March I believe. If he wins the March contest fine with me, he earns his money doing this, for me its a hobby and if Feb comes in as expected I'll still give myself an A for the winters forecasts.

With the Caveat that I don't usually do summer forecasts, I'm looking for a hot (warmer than normal anyway) dry one in the Mid Atlantic/NE this year.
My confidence level is not as high as it was with the winter forecast, but high enough to make the statement.

Best Regards,

Roebear
