Aloha John O, Re : "looks like it needs to fill in the gap made at end of November"

Are you into technical analysis ? I am not at all educated in this area, but I have heard several technical analyst claim that 'all gaps must be filled'. So, it I believe that there is a convincing theory behind it (that doesn't always come true in real life). I would appreciate if you could educate me on the following :
1. How wide does the gap have to be ? Almost every moment there s a gap, varying for 1/8 to $10 (on a bad day). Or is it statistical in that "the wider the gap, the more likelyhood of it getting filled" ?
2. Does 'all gaps must be filled' work both ways ? i.e. when the stock jumps up or down.
3. Which extreme does the stock need to reach to fill the gap ? Intel dropped from $61 to $48 overnight in September. Now that it is at 37, must it reach 48 to fill the gap, or must it reach 61 ?
4. What are the main theoritical exceptions to filling a gap.
