I also received a letter from our Florida friend. He and his wife retired there after many moves around the US. I asked him about Ashcroft. He said people in Missouri were fed up with him. Our friend grew up in Independence, Mo, and knew that very famous former President who lived there: Mr. Harry Truman who was very friendly with all his neighbors. I don't have time to post excerpts from his letter. I'll have to do it later. He considers Ashcroft a dangerous man, however. Dangerous in a political way.
