The Reagans did hold title, when? From the start? Despite being required to pay rent with an option to buy from the beginning as you reported? If so, I don't know just how that worked, as you can't have an option to buy something you already own. But that's what you say the news report said. As confusing as your reports to me therefore have become, it does seem clear that the property was paid for in full plus interest. Thus, once again, this cannot be called a gift. My point simply cannot be null and void if this is in fact the truth.
