Ted, who do you think is in charge of BPA? Come on.
Who do you think grants the right of way for Nat. Gas and Oil Pipelines?

Clinton/Gore haven't done anything but give money away to foreign soils. Name just one Energy Product they did that was worthwhile.

Milo,

I understand what you are saying but the real problem is not a shortage of energy overall.

Yes, CA is short but there is energy to be bought on the open market. The problem is is that CA utilities can't afford to buy the energy because the state of CA, not the US, froze the rate that their utilities can charge their customers at, I think, 1996 rates. However, oil and natural gas prices have gone up since 1996 and slowly but surely the utilities have depleted their $$$ reserves. Of course, complicating matters further is that the State of CA has not approved a new power plant since the early '80's.

So a third pipeline or whatever the BPA could do is not a real solution in this case.
