I sold my AVAYA shares and bought more LUCENT right after the announcement on November 21. Wouldn't ya know it!!!! As of the end of today, I'd have been better off holding on to that AVAYA than selling it and buying more LUCENT. I'm out a couple of grand at the moment. Today AVAYA was up 3.0% for the day while LUCENT was up 0.2%. Y-T-D AVAYA is up 69.7% while LUCENT is up 37.8% ... thought for sure the move I made back in November would put me in a better position than I am at the moment. But I have blind faith and figure that LUCENT will go much higher over time than AVAYA but who knows in this crazy market.....ANON
