David, do not take offense at this . . . but as a biochemist with a strong background in statistical analysis I find engineers' theoretical conclusions to be easily parted by the Law of Parsimony. You cannot compare Octel to dialogic in the time frame for those hypothetical shares because there are still two months to go. You have absolutely no basis for comparison until Octel also realizes the same time period. If you remember, Octel was at 16.- when I asked you to make note of this little game. You cannot escape your position that this company is a bad investment with no future. Your reasoning for this is easily parted by the above mentioned razor. <G> It certainly appears that up to this point your conclusions(?) on Octel are not those of the street. Do not lock yoursel into an engineer's mentality when investing. The application of purely practical and informed analysis is not always prudent in a market driven by the fragile psyches of us investors. If you've been following this thread since the October plunge then you must know that most of us did indeed get in cheap. So 30 from 15-16 would be a major gain over the market in general. This company is an excellent money maker. Greg
