OK, let's go with your 20%, although back in 1989, many (and I'm guessing the President of the US would be one) could purchase with just 10% or less...but just to go with your 20%, do you really think the President of the US would have trouble coming up with $500K??!!...be serious...furthmore, he would be the first President in history to be worried about his retirement portfolio...again, this STILL does not answer the question of why having a blind trust infers that someone else must purchase the house.
