Why is killing the unborn wrong? If it is not because it is a "sin" then why? Killing is not wrong per se. Killing is only wrong when society says it is wrong.

I disagree. Society can be wrong about something being wrong or right.

I support killing for self defense but I don't think an unborn child is truely attacking the mother. I would support killing in a war with just aims and where the killing was related to achieving those aims, but that becomes an extention of self defense or defense of others. I am on the fence in terms of capital punishment, I've gone back and forth on the issue and I may never be firmly on one particular side. The distinction here is that you are killing people who are guilty of murder not innocents. Even this can be rationalized as a form of self defense but thats a bit more of a strech then a defensive war.

Generally I am against killing people when it is not intended to defend or protect but is rather done because of hate or greed or convenience.
