Thanks, DMA. I live in the Bay Area so I remember the contentious nature of this event. From what I remember then combined with what I have seen of Ashcroft, I will continue to support Ashcroft. Overall the dems opposition seems very flimsy and I will stick by my assesment that the dems don't want him in because they don't like his christian values. If that (Hormel letter) is the only "lie" the dems can come up with I can't buy the "he is a liar" argument. Especially from the likes of Hilary, Barbara and Ted.
