open ended, and exchange traded funds such as DIAMONDS and SPDRs) are not eligible.

Q: Do I have to choose 5 Stocks?
A: Yes. You must select 5 stocks of 100 shares each.

Q: How will the winners be determined?
A: The winners will be determined on or about March 2, 2001, by tabulating the top ten winners and the last
place winner based on overall percentage returns.

Q: What if there is a tie?
A: We will award duplicate prizes.

Q: Do I need to set up a public portfolio?
A: Yes. After the close of the market on February 1, please create a public portfolio for your 5 stock picks.
Make sure you enter 100 shares per stock and that you use the market open price. You can do this by going to
siliconinvestor.com. Make sure to name the portfolio after your alias. Once
you have created your portfolio, click the “share with others” link to make it a public portfolio. Please post the
URL of your portfolio to the Stock-Picking Challenge thread.

If you have any additional questions, please post them to Scott Lux on the Stock-Picking
Challenge Thread.

Good luck!
