ohhhhh I just thought of something else to share,,,,
This Friday is my daughter's father/daughter dance. Monday evening, my husband and I had taken our daughter and son shopping. A beautiful dress and some nice dress shoes (which were a little high IMHO, but that is okay,,special occasion and all, and my son needed jeans. After returning home with all of these packages, my daughter was very excited about the upcoming dance and talked of nothing else. As she was talking, I looked over at my 4yr old son and I could see that he was hmmm, a little sad, puckered lip and all. So, I asked if he would like to do something, extra special, just him and I. He came over to me, took my hand, and said, "Mommy, would you please be my date for Friday?" I smiled and told him that I would LOVE to be his date. I said, "And where are you taking me on this date?" He responded with, "To the movies of course!! To see the Emperor's New Groove, oh yeah and McDonald's."
