Haven't been by SI in a while -- and yes! some discussion about TA going on.

But then -- what's this anal driven talk about not discussing this type or that type of TA on this thread. That's like trying to pick the brown stuff out of chicken sh?t. It's hard to do, and makes your fingers smell. Change the name of the thread to "Technical Analysis - Beginners to Advanced - All Forms Welcome".

Code pounders can learn from chart readers. Chart readers can learn from code pounders. It's the exposure to one or the other that just might perk up someone to do a little homework. As an example, I play music on the weekends (an old fart R&R/R&B/Honkey Jazz group) and from the beginning of my music career, it seems that everytime I thought a particular type of music stunk, (or didn't belong here) along comes something in the "Stunk" music that I like, which I incorporated here and there. Next thing you know I've learned something new, expanded my horizons, and I'm a better musician. No difference with TA.

If it's TA related -- please post it right here. If I (or you) don't like it, click "next".

Take care,

Eric
