the company just keeps getting better and better; news enclosed;TRACK DATA ANNOUNCES DIRECT ACCESS TO SUPERDOT AND SOES
THROUGH ITS myTrack TRADING SERVICE

New York, NY- February 1, 2001 - Track Data Corporation
(Nasdaq-NMS: TRAC) today announced that it is offering its
myTrack online trading members the ability to route orders
directly to SuperDOT and SOES.

"The advantages the professional traders once had over the
individuals just keep slipping away," says Barry Hertz,
Chairman and CEO of Track Data. "We are excited that myTrack
members can now access SuperDOT and SOES. Their addition to
our roster of routing destinations confirms our commitment
to providing individual investors with the greatest possible
range of choices so they can get the best trade executions.
But it doesn't stop here. With the SOES connection in place,
when SuperSOES comes into existence, myTrack members will
have access to it as well."

HOW TO ACCESS THE NEW ROUTING SOURCES
myTrack members can now access SuperDOT and SOES directly by
selecting them as their default routing sources. With myTrack
running, members can set their order routing preferences by
opening myTrade, clicking on "Settings," clicking on "Routing,"
going to the Listed drop-down menu, and selecting SuperDOT.
Selecting SOES is just as easy. With myTrack running, members
should open myTrade, click on "Settings," click on "Routing,"
go to the Nasdaq drop-down menu, and select SOES.

NEW VERSION OF MYTRACK OFFERS A NEW METHOD OF CHOOSING ROUTING
SOURCES: TRADE BY TRADE
Members who have downloaded the latest version of myTrack
(version 4.3.22, released this week) can also select SuperDOT
or SOES for routing on a trade by trade basis. The new version
of myTrack has a routing drop-down box right on the myTrade
screen. One note: the security symbol must be entered before
the routing choices can appear.

SUPERDOT AND SOES DEFINED
SuperDOT, which stands for "Super Designated Order Turnaround,"
is a New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) computer system that provides
swift executions of market and marketable limit orders, up to
specified sizes, in virtually all listed stocks. SuperDOT
bypasses the floor brokers by transmitting market and day limit
orders directly to the Specialists. Specialists receiving orders
through SuperDOT execute them as soon as market conditions permit.

SOES, an acronym for Small Order Entry System, is basically the
Nasdaq version of the SuperDOT system. SOES accepts orders of
under 1,000 shares, aggregates them, and executes them against
firm quotes from market makers.
