Yes it was an assumption, but I do not recall the exact # of yrs it was thought it could go on.

I forget many things but not when it comes to Amazon. The 50% growth was for the next ten years and that extrapolated sales to be more than four times that of Wal-Mart. I would have to do the math again but basically the opportunity was/is endless. Geeezzz..

PS Edit: Bezos during an interview stated Amazon was a decade long project and he was the first to make this prediction. That was how 50% and 10 years were arrived.
