i was a mac user until a few years ago. decided to migrate to PC because OpenStep/Rhapsody/MacOSX was taking too long, and i needed a crash-proof operating system and the ability to run PC-only financial apps. now in retrospect i'm very glad i switched, i like Windows2000 better. i still have a powermac, use it as a TV... The Phoenix very well pointed out what the FATAL FLAW in Apple's business model is and ever was, and when Steve Jobs called the cloners "leeches" and then stopped the program altogether, he showed that he didn't learn anything while he was at Next and that he still DOESN'T GET IT. Ellen Hancock would have been a much better choice as CEO after Amelio was ousted, judging by her performance later at Exodus. she wanted to ally Apple with SUNW... and use Solaris or a modified version of it. Apple would have been the "Consumer" arm of SUNW. SUNW back then had a market cap of $ 30 billion or so... a few months later it reached almost $ 200 billion at the peak. ___ <<Why?
