MomentuMonkey Indicator 11:55am CST... HOLD/SELL.
Target price: 1330
Spread: -2.7%
Momentum: Neutral
Valuation: Neutral
MomentuMonkey Index: 98.36
100% Ultrabear Profunds (2xS&P 500 Index)

I posted earnings to the model for the end of Jan. Both the 2000E and 2001E declined, but the 2002E rose substantially. This kicks up the growth rate component of the model and brings up the valuation indicator. Indeed, valuation went from Very Poor to Neutral on the sharp increase in the 2002E earnings estimate from 65.5 to 67.6! The tug-of-war between valuation and momentum that the MomentuMonkey tries to capture shows a slightly bearish position. I'm still in my bear fund, but the upside potential in the bearish fund has diminished somewhat.
