So...in absolute terms, it is not wrong for an arelativist gnostic to kill a relativist agnostic at any time for any reason...say, for leaving dirty dishes in the sink AGAIN.

It's not wrong in absolute terms for one individual to arbitrarily and capriciously decide another individual no longer needs to live. And the only thing that makes it wrong in relative terms is that, obviously, it would make us all equally subject to the same whims, moods, and caprices of others?

Not to put words in your mouth, but is this roughly what you are saying?

Bland does not personally believe in the special sanctity of any one book of faith, but he also does not believe it is necessary to have such a book or body of opinion to fall back on to support the "intuition" that it is wrong for one individual to decide the life and death fate of another based on nothing more than personal preference...even if there were no real world consequences to suffer.

Bland is not really trying to be argumentative here, he is just trying to understand "the other way of thinking."

And he is combing his hair very carefully.
