Seems to me that Alcatel is doing fine with their silicon. I have heard from both Globespan and ADI bulls that each will get Alcatel's ADSL business but do not believe it to be true. From XDSL News.

Saw the chipset this week at Comnet. Not sure when we'll see it in products. Globespan I think does supply the SHDSL chipsets to Alcatel but that's it in term of outside silicon suppliers as far as I know.
