John, that's an interesting question. because, if it is still in effect, it was supposed to bottom in mid - December, and some indices did indeed see a local low on Dec. 21. let's say the market turns now down, that would not automatically invalidate the 9-month cycle concept, it would only mean that it again crested early, a sign that we are at the very least in a CYCLICAL bear market. so the real test for this cycle comes at the next projected low in September. if it IS a low, that would prove beyond doubt the cycle is still in effect.
the really important question is actually whether it continues to be a left-translation bear market cycle or not. that qu. will be answered only as time goes by and we can identify whether another left translation has taken place.

i believe that will be the case, in view of the extremely high bullish consensus.
