Good ideas. To complete the analysis we'd have to break down the lumber companies into pure lumber plays and into those that are lumber/paper producers or other products. We'd be looking for those with most leverage to rising lumber costs, which we would try to anticipate by looking at trends in housing permits, interest rates, etc. If you or anybody else would like to do something like that, PM me. It might be useful information at some point in the next 1-2 years.
