But I would argue rights only exist if someone recognizes them- so a right, without a society to recognize it, would not exist. And I would also argue that a right is totally independent of what anyone else thinks is false. Society can grant any rights it wants no matter how false someone like you thinks they are. And the fact that society recognizes the right, makes it exist- even if you don't want it to.

IMO the rights society grants us exists in an imaginary place that does not have to be aligned in any way with the way reality (whatever that is) really is.
