I know this. But there could be "a fly in the ointment". LEGALITIES! I don't believe that Microsoft would use any memory product from Micron that uses DDR without having the patent infringement matters first cleared up... one way or the other. This would be especially true if Micron loses and Rambus holds to their word that they will not license anybody that takes them to court. Can't you see hundreds of thousands of XBOXES being recalled for using unlicensed IP. Or, how about Microsoft negotiating with Rambus, AFTER THE FACT, on how much they will pay Rambus? Microsoft is not happy about the current situation. If they wanted to, they could use RDRAM. If the matter is not resolved, they just may do that. What would you do if you were Microsoft? JMHO!
