Nice try, dreamer. Of course I've seen this one before. A classic case of bad accounting. You can add up all sorts of numbers and come up with some interesting results. The fact is that the room cost $25 and they got $3 back and the bell boy kept $2 which = $30. Subtracting $3 from the $30 to believe they each paid $9 is the accounting error. You can subtract $2 from $30 or you can add $3 to $25, but its a mistake to subtract $3 from $30 or add $2 to $25. So the equation 9+9+9+2 = 30 is incorrect (obviously, lol). The correct equation is (10-1)+(10-1)+(10-1)-2 = 25. Regards, Chris
