Hi thread, I'm out of SI prison and see there's a bit of an argument going on here. Dave, your contributions to this thread are exemplary and I always learn something from your posts. The prevailing opinion here is that we are all indeed responsible for our options trades and that not being cognizant of the variables of volatility, delta, etc. is a quick ticket to bankruptcy. While I concede that there is some wiggle room for MM's in option pricing (particularly the NDX), to blame the MM's for our trading mistakes is unhelpful at best.
