Hi Mr. Mark,

I wanted to stop by and let you and the thread know that everything worked out fine thanks to all the help. I had a run in with the flu and lost a week, along with several pounds that won't be missed. That is real nasty stuff!<gg>

I got the scandisk done using a boot disk and then I bought Norton Utilities. At your suggestion I ran WinDoctor and it found and fixed 131 errors in Win Me. I am amazed the da*ned thing ran at all! I also used NU to defrag the drive. I installed a new 30gb D drive and after sleeping with the Drive Image manual under my pillow for the week, I managed to make a backup image of my C drive. This, of course, is something like packing parachutes. You don't know if you did it right, until you are somewhere between the plane and the ground and an error will likely ruin your whole day!

Now I have a 20gb C drive with 5.2gb's used and a 30gb D drive with the same amount used and nothing else on it. I also bought PartitionMagic 6.0 and will some day soon, figure out the best way to use the remaining space on D, at which time I am sure I will return here for help on setting partitions (whatever they are).

My sincere thanks to all, for the very quick, accurate and cheerful assistance.

Bob
