On the subject of carrier funding, this article from TotalTelecom indicates Sprint is planning on raising $3billion in equity this year: totaltele.com The US$3 billion equity offering that Sprint is planning for this year will also be used to expand the coverage and capacity of PCS, though other parts of the business will also benefit. No specific instrument or date have been chosen for the financing as yet.
