News release of SVCDQ continues to state that current stock will be cancelled. This sounded like a statement made for the prefiled creditors, to approve the 2001 business plan. The delay of exiting chapter 11, of course, is good news for current stockholders. Given the good will of the brand name, there could be a positive equity before the emergence of chapter 11, after X'mas 2001, so stock can not be cancelled. All this is just more hard work to keep the stores alive for another year. Hopefully, SVCDQ stays in chapter 11 to cut more cost and build more volume for the current stockholders' equity.
