And yet ... I wonder if every single one of the advancements you mention would have changed more dramatically and radically from 1900 to 1950, as opposed to 1950 to 2000. Just wondering. It's pretty amorphous to get a hold of, so maybe not worth the effort.

BTW, I am getting pretty frustrated trying to post messages on SI, with the need to keep scrolling off the screen to see what I have written. I have a theory about why SI doesn't seem to give a damn about their site any more, which I may expound on later just for something to do.
