When I checked the chart from 1995, Im not getting the same reading whether SEMI-LOG or not. I have the lower trendline around 1800, and the upper trendline around 3200 prior to the parabolic move to 5000.

If you are using a trendline which is using the highs & lows, I presume it is a mean? If that is the case then one needs to establish what the buffer is from the mean.
