A 1x/gsm chipset wouldn't have any real effect on Europe - a 1xev/gsm, however might (pending imt2000 status for 1xevdo in - probably November). And 1x evdv would meet all Europe's criteria... ---------- "It would undoubtedly be the #1 selling chip in the industry." Not without Europe - or unless China becomes seriously 1x motivated... (as has been inferred in some recently translated articles) But the psychology behind strategic arguments regarding wireless standards might shift in unexpected ways... This might be most important... But, again, China has the most power in this regard as well - but such a chipset might well effect their deliberations...
