Doppler: but it's not a portfolio-picking contest - it's a stock-picking contest! You didn't get to choose how many shares of each stock to buy! Think of it another way: let's say the rule was that you should buy an equal dollar amount of each stock. I'm sure you would consider THAT fair, right? Well, this is the same thing. basing the contest result on the average of the percentage gains is exactly the same as having bought an equal dollar amout of each stock. Of course, the rules were ill-stated, on that I'm sure we can agree. :)
