Scumbria, I got a good laugh at the conclusion of the article you just posted:

We don't need outside help or political attacks to build a sustainable energy future for California. This is a time for all Californians to work together on solutions; the good news is that most of them simply involve doing more of what we already do best.

Don't need outside help? Guess Bush was right in saying that this is a California-only problem (despite your accusations of Republican fear-mongering). Doing more of what they already do best? I think we are already seeing what Californians do best, and that is to screw up the deregulation process, then fall into denial when trouble hits.

But if what Mr. Wishful Thinking said is true, that's great news for my state of Oregon. We no longer have to help out California, and Senators Ron Wyden(D) and Gordon Smith(R) can be reassured that California's power troubles won't spread to the Pacific Northwest. Uh huh.
