I believe in only one basic right: The right to be left alone
<<This is the heart of it. These are your beliefs. One cannot argue with belief. If it was based on perception, or science, we would have something to discuss.>>
I don't know why you said that. I did not say that my belief was not based on perception or science, etc. Indeed, I have said repeatedly, that I base my beliefs on reason. You have made an assertion without offering any basis in fact--and indeed, which has no such basis.
As a matter of fact, the belief in one basic right--(also stated as the right to exist, the right to freedom from force, the right to survival, the right to existence, etc.) is fundamental to most of the literature in the philosophy of inherent human rights. So your statement that implies (without reason or evidence or justification) that I do not base my belief on "perception or science", etc. is a gratuitous statement, and an inaccurate and an unjustified one. My belief is one that is held by many philosophers and scientists, and has been dissected ad infinitum. |
